(Carlisle, Pa.) – Dickinson junior Sarah House (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) was named the Centennial Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, crossing the line second with a time of 22:37, leading the Dickinson women's cross country team to the team title at the De Sales Invitational on Saturday.
House cut over 20 seconds off her top time of the season as the Red Devils scored just 28 points to better second-place Misericordia with 86. House led the pack as the Red Devils had five runners finish in the top 10 in the 25-team field.
There was no male runner honored as athletes are only selected if at least three conference teams compete during the week. Dickinson senior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) would have likely been in contention, running a great race on Saturday as well. He won the race with a time of 25:39 to lead the Red Devil men to the team title as well.
The Red Devil men's and women's teams both head to New England this weekend to compete in the Connecticut College Invitational.
