(Shippensburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's track & field team had some solid performances at the Shippensburg Duals, competing against some strong Division II competition on Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomores Allyson Yanega (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) and Sarah Yanega (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) finished first and second in the 800 meters, posting marks of 2:17.16 and 2:20.48, respectively.
Isabella Fife (Lancaster, Pa./JP McCaskey) was 11th in the 800 as the Devils had five runners in the top 20.
Junior Teressa Healy (Pelham, N.Y./Loyola School) claimed bronze in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:28.44.
First-year Alexandra Colby (Hingham, Mass./Needham) had another strong outing, placing second in the pole vault at 2.60 meters and placed seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.08.
Senior Eryn Nelson (York, Pa./Central York) was 12th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:13.97.
First-year Lilianna Matala (Schenectady, N.Y./Notre Dame – Bishop Gibbons) cleared 1.38 meters to place sixth in the high jump and Natalie Suess (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) was ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.50 meters.
Junior Mary Smith (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) had a throw of 36.02 in the hammer, placing 12th overall and third in Division III. She was 11th and third in the discus with a throw of 31.68.
Senior Maura Reilly (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) and Erin Harten (Cumberland, R.I./Ursuline Academy) came in fourth and fifth in the 5000, posting marks of 19:73.30 and 20:14.46, respectively.
Amelia Lufrano (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) joined Watson, Suess and Matala to finish seventh in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:24.89.
The Red Devils are scheduled to compete at the Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday at Princeton University.
