Women's Tennis Rolls to 9-0 Win at McDaniel

(Westminster, Md.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team topped McDaniel College 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Red Devils had a strong start, winning first and second doubles, 8-1 and 8-2, and won the third by default.

Madison Parks (Denton, Md./North Caroline) and Joana Nunes (Carcavelos, Portugal/St. Julian's) claimed the top spot while Lauren Altschuler (Malvern, Pa./Eastern) and first-year Olivia Shea (West Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) earned the point at number two.

Altschuler added a win in the top singles flight (6-1, 6-2) while Parks won a (6-0, 6-0) decision in the three spot. Madeleine Kuhns-Baione (Glen Ridge, N.J./Glen Ridge) went 6-0, 6-0 at #4 singles and Lydia Fox (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Arlington) had a dominant win in the fifth flight, (6-0, 6-1).

The Red Devils improve to 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Washington College on Saturday for a 1:00 pm match with the Shorewomen.
