The Dickinson men's and women's swim teams celebrated Head Coach Paul Richards' 500th career win on Saturday.
Joined by family, friends and alumni, College President Margie Ensign and Director of Athletics Joel Quattrone, the parents of Dickinson swimming honored coach Richards for his remarkable accomplishment and dedication to the program for the past 25 seasons.
Richards reached the milestone on November 8 as the Red Devil women posted the 500th win against Bryn Mawr College.
Richards raised his overall mark to 500-319-2, coming to Dickinson in 1994 after stints at Hartwick College and Mary Washington.
Since his arrival in Carlisle, the men's and women's programs have accumulated a record of 368-194-1 while also achieving consistently high marks academically. The women's program has received Scholar All-American honors in every semester under Richards while the men put together a streak of 48 consecutive semesters of receiving the prestigious academic honor.
The Red Devil men are currently 3-2 overall while the women are 4-2 on the season. Both teams are next scheduled to compete at the Gettysburg Invitational on December 6 and 7.
