Lyman Sets School Record to Earn Second All-American Honor

(Greensboro, N.C.) – Dickinson senior Olivia Lyman (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greeley) earned her second All-American honor at the 2019 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday.

Lyman touched the wall 11th overall in the 1,650-yard freestyle, adding All-America honors to her 500-freestyle performance earlier in the week.

In addition, Lyman broke her own school record in the 1000-yard freestyle, clocking a split of 10.14.59 at the mark on Saturday. She finished the race with a time of 17:02.26.

Lyman holds school records in the 800 free relay and the 200, 500, 1000 and 1650-yard freestyle events. In addition, she holds the Centennial Conference and Centennial Conference Championship Meet records in the 500-freestyle, clocking a mark of 4:54.50 in 2016.

Lyman captured four straight conference championships in the 500-freestyle and won three straight 1650-yard titles during her career as well. She was named the Women's Outstanding Performer at the 2017 CC Championships, claiming gold in the 200, 500 and 1650-freestyle.
