(Greensboro, N.C.) – Dickinson senior Olivia Lyman (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greeley) added a top-50 showing at the NCAA Division III Swimming National Championships on Thursday, clocking a time of 1:56.56 in the 200-yard freestyle.
Lyman was 44th overall after swimming to All-America honors in the 500-freestyle on Wednesday. She is set to compete again on Saturday, earning a spot in the 1650-yard freestyle. The 1650 is set for approximately 12:00 pm.
Lyman holds school records in the 800 free relay and the 200, 500, 1000 and 1650-yard freestyle events. In addition, she holds the Centennial Conference and Centennial Conference Championship Meet records in the 500-freestyle, clocking a mark of 4:54.50 in 2016.
Lyman captured four straight conference championships in the 500-freestyle and won three straight 1650-yard titles during her career as well. She was named the Women's Outstanding Performer at the 2017 CC Championships, claiming gold in the 200, 500 and 1650-freestyle.
