(Lancaster, Pa.) – Dickinson junior Olivia Lyman (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greeley) won her third consecutive title in the 500-yard freestyle at the 2018 Centennial Conference Swimming Championships on Saturday night.
Lyman clocked a time of 5:01.60 to touch the wall first for the three-peat.
The Red Devils placed sixth in the 200 free relay with sophomores Molly Sternick (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) and Samantha Florio (Stamford, Conn./Wilton) swam the first two legs with junior Sammy Boswell (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) and first-year Hannah Griffith (Lansdale, Pa./William Penn Charter) combining for a mark of 1:40.67.
Sternick advanced to the B-final of the 50 freestyle, clocking a mark of 24.85 to place 11th overall.
The Red Devil women are currently in seventh with 116 points. Defending champion Ursinus leads the way with 305 while Swarthmore is currently second with 225.
Sophomore Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./The Pennington School) captured silver in the 200 individual medley, clocking a time of 1:54.51. He joined the 200 free relay for a fifth place showing.
Senior Allen Belo (Odenton, Md./Severn School) swam the lead leg, followed by junior Ben Shapiro (Wynnewood, Pa./Friends' Central) with sophomore Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) on the anchor for a time of 1:27.28.
Senior Mitch Reynolds (Frederick, Md./Frederick) touched the wall in 4:45.83 for a top 10 finish in the 500-yard freestyle.
The Red Devil men are currently in sixth place with 128 points. Gettysburg leads the team standings with 295.5 points while Washington College is second with 207.
Competition continues tomorrow morning and through Sunday evening.
