(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team face some tough competition on Saturday, falling to visiting Division II Bloomsburg University, 129-65.
Sophomore Molly Sternick (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) captured a win in the 200 individual medley, clocking a time of 2:17.26. She was third with the 200-medley relay and placed fourth in the 100 free with a mark of 56.61.
First-year Hannah Griffith (Lansdale, Pa./William Penn Charter) won the 200 breaststroke (2:35.10) and was third in the 1000-yard freestyle, coming in at 11:53.62. Classmate Hannah Mulcahy (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor) was second in the breaststroke with a mark of 2:53.48.
Senior Devon Korhammer (Easton, Pa./Moravian Academy) anchored the free relay to a time of 1:48.40 and placed fourth in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2.21.76.
Sophomore Lindsay Robinson (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) led-off the winning free relay, placed third with the medley relay and claimed another bronze in the 500 free with a time of 5:45.66. Classmate Demetria Ruhl (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) joined the medley relay as well and placed third in the 200 butterfly (2:18.56).
Sophomore Samantha Florio (Stamford, Conn./Wilton) swam the lead leg of the free relay and touched the wall fourth in the 50 free with a time of 26.82.
The Red Devils slip to 3-3 overall. They travel to Messiah College on November 28, to face the Falcons at 7:00 pm.
