(Carlisle, Pa.) – Dickinson first-year Meg Tate (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season while classmate Lauren Bracken (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Baldwin School) was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Tate had another big offensive week, leading the Red Devils to a pair of wins to finish unbeaten in conference play. She scored twice in the regular season finale at Gettysburg and tallied a goal and assist in Wednesday's win over McDaniel to help secure the top seed in the conference playoffs. She has compiled 11 goals and 25 points in the past seven matches.
Bracken anchored a strong defensive effort as the Red Devils posted back-to-back shutouts over a pair of playoff teams - McDaniel and Gettysburg. Dickinson finished unbeaten in conference play and recorded its ninth and 10th clean sheets of the season.
The Red Devils finished the regular season 13-1-4 overall and 8-0-2 in the Centennial. They are the top seed in the conference tournament and will host the final four this weekend at Miller Memorial Field.
The Red Devils play the first semifinal against the winner of the first-round match between Gettysburg and McDaniel at 12:00 pm. Johns Hopkins will square-off against Haverford in the other semifinal at 3:00 pm. The winners advance to Sunday's championship at 1:00 pm.
