(Westminster, Md.) – The Dickinson women's soccer team went in front and then rallied to force a double-overtime draw at McDaniel College on Wednesday afternoon.

The Red Devils struck first, scoring on a corner kick in the first half as junior Addy Zandi (West Chester, Pa./B. Reed Henderson) served a beautiful ball into the box and sophomore Kyra Thomas (Watertown, Conn./The Taft School) found the back of the net with 15 minutes remaining in the first half.

Maddie Schwartz capitalized on well-placed cross in the 53rd minute to pull the Green Terror even. The hosts had a short-lived celebration after Kathryn Dixon put McDaniel in front just under 20 minutes remaining in the match.

The Red Devils quickly countered, netting the equalizer off the foot of first-year Jessica Kiefer (Phoenix, Ariz./Pinnacle), less than a minute later to level the match once again.

McDaniel outshot the Red Devils 5-0 in overtime but both shots on net were turned away by senior goaltender Mary Katherine Brosnan (Old Tappan, N.J./Northern Valley Old Tappan) to preserve the shutout and key point in the Centennial Conference standings.

Brosnan finished with seven saves on the night as Dickinson moves to 10-3-3 overall and 4-2-3 in conference play. McDaniel moves to 10-4-1 and 7-3-1 in the CC.

The Red Devils return home for the regular season finale, hosting Gettysburg College at 7:00 pm on Saturday night at Miller Memorial Field.
