Former Red Devil standout Sunnie Ko '11 returns to the Dickinson sidelines to join the women's lacrosse coaching staff as they prepare for the 2019 season.
Ko was a four-year letter-winner for the Red Devils, serving as a team captain as a senior. She was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in 2011, earning Second-team All-Metro Region honors that season as well. She was a three-time All-Centennial Conference selection, earning Second-team recognition in 2009 and 2011.
Ko helped the Red Devils reach the conference playoffs three times, advancing to the semifinals in 2008 and 2009. The team broke school records for goals, assists, points and draw controls in 2008. Ko scored 97 goals in her career, adding 35 assists to rank 11th in career points at graduation. She still ranks fourth all-time with 154 draw controls and remains in the top 10 with 53 draws in 2009. She is just outside the program top 10 with 66 career caused turnovers.
Ko earned a B.A. in women and gender studies and political science from Dickinson in 2011. She returned to her alma mater and is currently the Assistant Director of Advancement Services at the college.
