Red Devils Run To Title at E'Town Short Course Invite

(Elizabethtown, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's cross country team captured its second straight team title of the season, winning the Elizabethtown Short Course Invitational on Friday night.

The Red Devils had four top 10 finishes and seven in the top 20 of the field of 121 runners. They combined for a score of 35 to better second-place Moravian with 66.

Senior Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) led the way, finishing fourth overall with a time of 18:38.

Christopher Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) and Charles Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) crossed the line fifth and seventh with times of 18:53 and 19:05, respectively. First-year Ryan Heskin (Floral Park, N.Y./Northfield Mount Hermon) added an eighth place showing.

Sophomore Jacob Doherty Munro (Hudson, Mass./Hudson) and first-years Teddy Mercer (Cortland, N.Y./Homer) and James Marks (West Hartford, Conn./Hall School) placed 11th, 18th and 20th.

Odin Bules (Union Mills, Ind./South Central) came in 21st, followed by Matt Loalbo (Hamden, Conn./Hamden) in 27th.

The Red Devils are home next weekend, hosting the Dickinson Alumni Invitational on homecoming Saturday.
