Red Devils Win Individual/Team Titles at DeSales

(Center Valley, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's cross country team turned in a great performance at the De Sales University Invitational, capturing the team title with 25 points to better the 25-team field. Messiah College claimed second with 76 points on the day.

Senior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) ran another strong race, crossing the line first with a time of 25:39.

Junior Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) placed third with a time of 25:57 as four Red Devils posted top-20 finishes. First-year Christopher Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) was just outside of the top-10, coming in at 26:29 to place 11th.

Senior Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./JP McCaskey) finished 12th overall, posting a mark of 26:36 while sophomore Odin Bules (Union Hills, Ind./South Central) clocked a time of 27:00 to place 24th.

Charles Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) and senior Will Chandler (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) placed 29th and 34th, respectively, at 27:05 and 27:20.

The Red Devils are on the road again next Saturday, traveling to the Connecticut College Invitational.
