(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's outdoor track & field team placed second at the Little Three Championship on Saturday, Gettysburg won the team title with 176 points on the day while the Red Devils tallied 146 with Franklin * Marshall finishing third with 73.
The Red Devils had a strong showing in the shot put, claiming the top four spots. Brock Hartman (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) won the event with Francisco Villarreal (Carson, Calif./Carson) placed second. Ellis Kimmel (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) and Maxwell Yoshida (Grosse Point Woods, Mich./Grosse Point) placed third and fourth, respectively.
Hartman was second in the discus while Kimmel added third-place showings in the discus and the javelin. Villarreal added bronze in the hammer throw.
Senior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) ran well, capturing the 800 meters and the 4x800 relay and placing second in the 1500. Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) joined the 4x800 relay and finished third in the 800.
Senior Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./JP McCaskey) crossed the line first in the 5000-meters as the Red Devils had four runners in the top 10.
First-year Aaron Brick (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) won the 200 meters while classmate Titus Clark (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) placed second in the high jump and third in the long jump. Senior Zach Popkin (Washington, D.C./Maret School) was second in the triple jump.
The Red Devils travel to the Muhlenberg Invitational next Saturday.
