(Shippensburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's track & field team traveled to Shippensburg University for the Fourth Annual SU College Invitational on Wednesday.
First-year Garrett Randall (Gwynn Oak, Md./Loyola-Blakefield) placed second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.37 and placed sixth in the 200 with a mark of 23.62. Miles Lindsey (Herndon, Va./Oakton) posted times of 11.90 and 24.13, placing ninth in the 200. He added an 11th place finish in the 400 with a mark of 53.75.
Billy Dougherty (Mt. Lebanon, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) was third in the 800, posting a time of 1:58.61 and finishing behind a pair of Division II runners.
The Red Devils dominated the 3000 meters, claiming the top three spots. Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) led the way with a winning time of 8:35.69. Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) and Matt Loalbo (Hamden, Conn./Hamden) were second and third with marks of 8:42.19 and 8:54.42.
Kacper Rzempoluch (Princeton, Pa./West Windsor Plainsboro North) and Adam Gamber (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) were second and third in the pole vault with matching heights of 4.25 while Gavin Wood (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) cleared 3.95 meters to place sixth.
Senior Devin Glasson (Canton, Conn./Canton) placed third in the shot put (13.92m), fourth in the discus (45.05m) and sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 41.66.
The Red Devils are scheduled to compete at the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton on Friday and travel to the Mason-Dixon Invite at Gettysburg on Saturday.
