Men's T&F Shows Well at Messiah/Bucknell

(Grantham, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's track & field team had some great performances, competing at the Messiah Invitational and the Bucknell Distance Carnival.

At Messiah, the Red Devils captured first and second in the 10,000 meters as Oden Bules (Union Hills, Ill./South Central) and Ethan Burg (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) came across first and second.

The Red Devils went one-two in the pole vault as Kacper Rzempoluch (Princeton, N.J./West Windsor Plainsboro North) cleared 4.50 meters and Adam Gamber (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) went over at 4.20 meters.

Nathan Udell (Annapolis, Md./McDonogh) won the 5000 with Matt Persick (West Chester, Pa./West Chester Henderson) coming across the line sixth.

Devin Glasson (Canton, Conn./Canton) placed third in the discus, fourth in the shot put and had a top 1- finish in the hammer.

Ryan Murphy (West Pittston, Pa./Wyoming Area) added fifth place finish in the 200 and first-year Kenny Blessing (Carlisle, Pa./Big Spring) finished sixth in the 100 meters.

At Bucknell, junior Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) won the 5000 meters while Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) clocked the second fastest time in the Centennial Conference in the 1500 meters. He crossed the line in 3:53.84 and ranks seventh on the national list.

The Red Devils are in action again on Wednesday, traveling to the Shippensburg Duals.
