Hepner Breaks Third School Record in Six Days

(Collegeville, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's and women's track & field teams traveled back to Collegeville on Friday for the Ursinus Final Qualifier, turning in some outstanding performances on the night.

Senior Mason Hepner (Mount Joy, Pa./Manheim Central) broke his third school record in less than a week, clocking a time of 4:12.80 to win the mile. He breaks the mark of Ryan Steinbock of 4:13.27, set in 2014.

The Red Devil women saw the 800-meter school record fall with senior Jamie George (Hightstown, N.J./The Peddie School) crossing the line in a time of 2:16.81. That eclipses Callie Bradley's time of 2:16.93, set in 2004.

Senior Adriana Frayne-Reixa (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) ran a great race to clock a personal-best, placing second in the mile with a time of 5:01.14. Junior Sofia Canning (Portland, Maine/Waynflete) placed second in the 3,000 meters, clocking a PR of 10:03.72.

Seniors Amanda Jimcosky (Benton, Pa./Northwest Area) and Imani Beard (New York, N.Y./MLK) posted repeat wins in the high jump and the long jump from the conference meet on Saturday. Jimcosky went over the bar at 1.60 meters in the high jump while Beard claimed the long with a distance of 5.02 meters.

Aphnie Germain (Orange, N.J./Orange) was just off school record place, placing second in the 200 meters with a time of 26.62. First-year Natalie Suess (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) was second in the triple jump, clearing 10.55 meters.

Sophomore Naji Thompson (Springfield, N.J./Oakton) placed second in the 60 meters. She was just off a record mark as well, clocking a times of 8.02 in the prelims and 8.01 in the final.
