Descavish Runs to Fifth in 5K at CC Championships

(Collegeville, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's track and field team opened competition on day one of the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships at Ursinus College on Saturday.

First-year Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) led the way with a fifth place finish in the 5,000 meters, clocking a time of 15:15.55.

The Red Devils placed sixth in the distance medley relay, combining to post a time of 10:35.75. Senior Patrick Nolan (Westport, Conn./Staples) ran the lead leg while sophomore Will Chandler (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) ran the anchor.

The Devils had all four classes represented with first-year Thomas Riordan (Campbell, S.C./Landrum) and junior Billy Dougherty (Mt. Lebanon, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) running the second and third legs.

The Red Devils are currently seventh in the team standings. They return for a full day of competition on Sunday with events starting at 11:00 am.
