(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team placed fifth at the 2019 Centennial Conference Championships, concluding on Sunday night at Gettysburg College.
First-year Logan Cort (Brookeville, Md./Mercersburg) swam to fifth in the 1650-freestyle to start off the evening session. The Red Devils had four swimmers in the top-15. James Cummings (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug)
Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) earned points with an eighth-place finish in the 200-backstroke with a time of 1:56.61. Liam Pauli (Delran, N.J./Delran) advanced to the B-final and clocked a great time of 1:56.59, finishing 10th overall.
First-year Damon St. Prix (Barbados/Peddie School, N.J.) won the B-final in the 100-freestyle with a time of 46.70.
Kiernan Jordan (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) placed fifth in the 200-butterfly, touching the wall in 1:55.00 flat.
Shapiro, St. Prix, Novitch and Freeman combined to place sixth in the 400-free relay with a time of 3:12.47. Cort, Pauli and Jordan joined Tyler Catania (Spotswood, N.J./St. Joseph) to finish 13th in the 400-free relay.
John Crafa (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) was 12th in the 200-butterfly and Catania was 15th
Swarthmore College scored 845 points to win the team title with Gettysburg claiming second with 630. The Red Devils for 398 points on the weekend.
