(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team had some outstanding performances on Saturday, posting a 131-74 win over Washington College.
Senior Ben Shapiro (Wynnewood, Pa./Friends' Central) led the way, winning the 50 and 100-freestyle events with times of 22.00 and 48.87, and anchored the winning 400-medley relay. First-year Alex Valverde (West Chester, Pa./Rustin) was second in the 50 with a time of 22.90.
Junior Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./The Pennington School) was a triple-winner as well, joining the medley relay and claiming the 200-individual medley (1:58.54) and the 200-breaststroke (2:13.85).
First-year Logan Cort (Brookeville, Md./Mercersburg) had a strong day in the distance events, winning both the 1000 and 500-yard freestyle events with times of 10:11.96 and 4:55.27. He was second in the 200-freestyle, clocking a time of 1:48.87.
First-year Damon St. Prix (Barbados/Peddie School, N.J.) touched the wall first in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:47.50, adding a pair of second-place finishes in the 100-freestyle and as the led leg of the 400-free relay.
Senior Kiernan Jordan (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) won the 200-butterfly with a mark of 1:59.11 and added another win with the medley relay. He swam the anchor leg to place second with the free relay as well.
Junior Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) swam the lead leg of the medley relay and swam the second leg of the free relay. He added another silver in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:01.54.
The Red Devils improve to 7-2 overall and 2-1 in the Centennial Conference. They host Franklin & Marshall next Saturday at 1:00 pm.
