(Lancaster, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team went 2-1 at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. The Red Devils dropped a 143.5-115.5 decision to the host Diplomats but picked a pair of wins, topping Cabrini College 196-48 and SUNY New Paltz, 181-75.
Sophomore Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./The Pennington School) won the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:59.44 and captured the 200 yard breaststroke with a mark of 2:13.99. He was second in the 100 breaststroke, posting a mark of 1:01.93.
Classmate Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) touched the wall second and third in the 200 and 100-yard backstroke events with times of 2:03.54 and 56.36.
Junior Ben Shapiro (Wynnewood, Pa./Friends Central) was third in the 200 IM (2:04.52), and placed second in the 50 and 100 freestyle events (22.49 and 48.92).
Senior Mitch Reynolds (Frederick, Md./Frederick) won the 1000 freestyle (10:16.14) and was second in the 500 with a mark of 4:54.98. He added bronze in the 200 butterfly, posting a 2:03.32. Sophomore James Cummings (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) was third in the 1000.
Kiernan Jordan (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) continued to return to form, winning the 200 butterfly (1:58.33), and placing second in the 100 fly event (53.90) and with the free relay.
First-year Tyler Catania (Spotswood, N.J./St. Joseph) scored well, placing third in the 100 and 200 freestyle, fourth in the 100 butterfly and second with the 400 free relay.
Senior Jake Beley (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) finished third in the 200 backstroke (2:05.33) and was fourth in the 100 backstroke and the 400 medley relay. Nick Beard (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) and Allen Belo (Odenton, Md./Severn School) joined John Crafa (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) on the medley relay.
The Red Devils improve to 6-5 overall but fall to 1-3 in the Centennial Conference. They return home for a Wednesday night meet, hosting Gettysburg College at 7:00 pm.
