Squash Battles 16th Ranked Naval Academy in Home Opener

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The #26-ranked Dickinson men's squash team suffered a 9-0 setback to the visiting #16-ranked U.S. Naval Academy on Wednesday but had some strong individual performances in its home opener.

Sophomore Osuman Imoro (New Haven, Conn./Trinity Pawling) dropped a well fought back-and-forth battle in the fourth flight, erasing a 2-0 deficit with wins in the third and fourth sets, (11-9, 11-5, 11-13, 8-11, 11-8).

MJ Tricolli (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Haverford School) won the first set but Navy's Ryan York answered to take the third flight (9-11, 11-8, 11-2, 11-5).

First-year Hussien Eldesouky (Cairo, Egypt/Berkshire School, Mass.) went four sets in the seventh (11-8, 11-6, 9-11, 11-6) and Ben Gemma (Barrington, R.I./Moses Brown) took the first set in the eighth, going (7-11, 11-6, 11-7, 11-6).

Graham Henderson (Greenwich, Conn./The King School) had a strong start in the second flight but fell (12-10, 11-1, 11-3).

The Red Devils slip to 0-3 on the season. They head Yale University this weekend to face #20-Williams and #27-Connecticut College on Saturday and Sunday.
