#17 Red Devils Deny #19 Diplomats 5-4

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The #17-ranked Dickinson men's squash team held off a tough challenge from #19-ranked Franklin & Marshall, posting a thrilling 5-4 victory at the Kline Center on Saturday.

The Red Devils played well in the middle flights, led by a hard fought, five-set win from Hal Holappa (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) (13-11,11-3,8-11,9-11,12-10).

Sergio Martin (Queretaro, Mexico/Redlands, Calif.) won a four-set battle in the fourth flight while junior Cory Litman (Lower Merion, Pa./Lower Merion) won the fifth in three straight, but had to work for it, posting scores of (13-11, 11-9, 14-12).

First-years Osuman Imouro (New Haven, Conn./Trinity Pawling) and Tanay Murdia (New Fatehpura Udaipur, India/Delhi Public School) earned points in the seven and eight flights as the Red Devils improve to 9-7 on the season.

The Red Devils avenge a loss to the Diplomats, earlier in the season, evening the season series, 1-1.

The Red Devils are home again tomorrow, hosting St. Lawrence University on Senior Day at 11:00 am.
