(Collegeville, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's soccer team saw a natural hat-trick from first-year Frederick Cisse (New Haven, Conn./Pomfret) as the Red Devils rolled to a 5-1 win at Ursinus College on Saturday.
The Red Devils wasted little time putting a goal on the board as first-year Will Flannery (Reisterstown, Md./St. Paul's School) found the net, just 2:32 into the match, scoring off an assist from sophomore Ian Logan (Westford, Mass./Westford Academy).
Cisse was at the right place at the right time, scoring just over two minutes later, collecting a loose ball and finding the back of the net for a 2-0 advantage.
The lead held through the break until Cisse scored back-to-back goals in a span of six minutes to give Dickinson a 4-0 advantage with 26 minutes to play in the match. Logan added his second assist of the day, assisting on the second.
Ben Amaral spoiled the shutout, scoring for Ursinus in the 76th minute.
The Red Devils added another tally with just under five minutes to play as sophomore Osuman Imoro (New Haven, Conn./Trinity Pawling) scored off an assist from first-year Ronan Higgins (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Shipley School).
Brandon Lillian finished with four saves for Ursinus while Frederick Meagher (Southport, Conn./Fairfield-Ludlowe) earned the win in the nets for Dickinson behind one save. Junior Maxwell Barrett (East Andover, Mass./Proctor Academy) came on to finish the match, making a pair of saves.
