Red Devils Have Strong Third Round at CC Championship

(Macungie, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's golf team had a strong round to finish, holding fifth in the team standings of the 2019 Centennial Conference Championship at the Brookside Country Club.

The Red Devils were just off matching their first round, combining for a 317 on Sunday. They shot a 316 in the first round and a 335 yesterday for a three-day total of 968. Gettysburg claimed the title with a 937 while McDaniel edged Swarthmore, 343-345, to finish second.

First-year Drew Stern (Yardley, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) just missed All-Conference honors with a  seventh-place finish in the individual standings. He led the Red Devils with a 236 for the tournament (79-78-79).

First-year William McCann (Madison, N.J./Morristown-Beard) finished strong with a 78 on Sunday to shoot a 245 to finish in the top 20. He was just as stroke in front of sophomore Tyler Caballero (Lutherville, Md./St. Paul's School), who carded back-to-back rounds of 83 and an 80 on Sunday for a 246.

and sophomore Schuyler Leff (Bethel, Maine/Gould Academy) carded an 80 as well and Stephen Bonacci (McLean, Va./Langley) shot an 81 as they finished with scores of 247 and 249, respectively.

Gettysburg's Danny Harcourt claimed medalist honors with a 225 (73-79-73).
