(Abbottstown, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's golf team combined for a great second round at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic at The Bridges Golf Club. A tournament record six players shot under par (72) on Sunday. The Red Devils combined for a 309 in Sunday to finish with a (628) for the tournament, as they close out their fall schedule.
Tyler Caballero (Lutherville, Md./St. Paul's School) had another strong outing, carding a 78 to finish (76-78-154) to lead the way.
Four players were sub-80 in the day as first-years Justin Shim (Herndon, Va./Paul VI Catholic) and Drew Stern (Yardley, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) were in sync with rounds of 76 and finish tied with scores of 159.
Jacob Liberman (Wayne, Pa./Friends' Central) matched his card from Saturday with back-to-back 79s (158) and first-year Christopher Joson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) was right there with a 163 for the weekend.
The Red Devils capitalized on the favorable course conditions and a great effort to shave 10 strokes off their score, ranking seventh in Sunday's standings.
St. John Fisher (N.Y.) edged runners-up Christopher Newport (302-298-600) and McDaniel (301-299-600) by two strokes with a 294 (304-294-598) on Sunday to claim the team title.
