Red Devils Finish Seventh at McDaniel Invite

(Abbottstown, Pa.) – York College and Franklin & Marshall turned in rounds of 306 and 308 on Sunday to tie with totals of 628 at the McDaniel Men's Golf Spring Invitational. York won the tournament by virtue of a tie-breaker while the Red Devils combined for a 328 on Sunday to finish seventh with 647.

Charlie Zane (Guilford, Conn./Hopkins School) and Tyler Caballero (Lutherville, Md./St. Paul's) finished in the top 20 with two-day scores of 159 and 161, respectively. Caballero dropped two strokes on Sunday (81-79) while Zane went 78-81 for the tournament.

Jake Kessel (Woodcliff Lakes, N.J./Pascack) had back-to-back rounds of 81 while Stephen Bonacci (McLean, Va./Langley) went 79-87 for a 166.

Schuyler Leff (Bethel, Maine/Gould Academy) and Vincent Warzecha (Chester Springs, Pa./Malvern Prep) both came in at 170, going 84-86 and 88-82, respectively.

Ryan Kowash (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) and Hunter Tuccio (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) carded scores of (81-92-173) and (91-88-179).

The Red Devils are scheduled to travel to the Ursinus College Spring Invitational on Tuesday at the Stonewall North Golf Course in Elverson, Pa.
