Men's Golf in the Hunt After Day One at McDaniel

(Abbottstown, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's golf team is currently fourth after the first round of the McDaniel College Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon at The Bridges Golf Club.

McDaniel leads after round one with the Red Devils just eight strokes out of the lead and four strokes behind second-place Gettysburg with a round of 319. Franklin & Marshall is next, one stroke behind Dickinson.

Sophomore Charlie Zane (Guilford, Conn./Hopkins School) led the way with a 78, tying for eighth, heading into the second round.

Stephen Bonacci (McLean, Va./Langley) was also sub-80 with a 79 to tie for the 11th spot.

Jake Kessel (Woodcliff Lakes, N.J./Pascack) and Ryan Kowash (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) each carded rounds of 81 while Tyler Caballero (Lutherville, Md./St. Paul's) came in with an 82 on the day.

Schuyler Leff (Bethel, Maine/Gould Academy) and Vincent Warzecha (Chester Springs, Pa./Malvern Prep) turned in rounds of 84 and 88 while senior Hunter Tuccio (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) had a 91.

The Red Devils return to The Bridges on Sunday for the second round of the tournament. Tee times begin at 9:00 am with Dickinson going off in the third wave.
