(Bryn Mawr, Pa.) – The Bryn Mawr field hockey team held on to its third place standing in the ever-competitive Centennial Conference, holding off visiting Dickinson, 1-0, to improve to 6-1 in the CC and 12-1 overall.

The Owls would capitalize on a penalty stroke with 4:54 remaining in the first half as Sarah Rillot converted for her seventh goal of the season.

The Red Devils made a strategic move, putting in first-year goalkeeper Saige Stevens (Hanover, Pa/Hanover) to face the stroke. She made a great read on the shot but just missed the save.

The Owls held a 16-2 shot advantage in the first half and forced nine penalty corners while allowing just one, defensively.

The Red Devils closed things down in the second half, holding the hosts to five shots and four corners but were unable to net the equalizer.

Heather Meeder (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) turned away both shots she faced as Bryn Mawr tallied just three shots that were on frame. Maggie Titus earned the shutout for the Owls.

The Red Devils move to 6-7 overall and 3-4 in the conference. They return home for a non-conference match up on Wednesday, facing Juniata College at 4:00 pm.
