(Lancaster, Pa.) – The Dickinson field hockey team held the #11-ranked Diplomats of Franklin & Marshall scoreless through the first half, but the hosts would find some answers in the second, topping the Red Devils, 4-0, on Wednesday night.

The Diplomats capitalized with all four goals come from penalty corners. Erin Coverdale put F&M on the board, finishing a corner with assists from Katie O'Loughlin and Emma Durantine, just over five minutes into the second half.

Coverdale struck again a minute later, scoring off an assist from Melissa Gula. Gula tallied another assist, feeding Lily Mynott on a corner and O'Loughlin fed Coverdale for the hat-trick in the 59th minute.

Junior Heather Meeder (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) made seven saves, turning back six shots in the first half.

The Diplomats held an 18-3 advantage in shots and a 12-2 edge in corners.

The Red Devils slip to 2-5 overall and 1-1 in the Centennial Conference. They return home on Saturday to host Muhlenberg College at 12:00 pm.
