The Conestoga Wagon

The Conestoga Wagon was instituted in 1963 when Dickinson Director of Athletics David Eavenson and F&M Director of Athletic Emeritus Shober Barr donated the trophy as a symbol of the rivalry between the two nearby competitors. The Wagon, which is encased in glass, was hand-carved by two woodcarvers from Lancaster County's Amish community. The wagon is crafted as a miniature replica of the wagon that was used to transport the players between the two schools.

Scouting the Diplomats
Senior QB Tanner Erisman leads the Diplomats into Saturday's game, coming off back-to-back losses after a 4-0 start to stand at 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the conference. Erisman had gone 16 straight games with touchdown pass, but had that streak snapped against Johns Hopkins as the Blue Jays recorded six sacks on the day.

Erisman ranks fourth in program history with 4,826 passing yards and fifth in total offense, covering 5,688 yards in his career.

Senior Joe Granahan leads a balanced defensive unit, recording 31 tackles, 5.5 sacks and three forced fumble this season. Sebastian Silva-Muniz and Bobby McDevitt each have a team-high 19 solo tackles, and have combined for 58 total stops for the Diplomats.

The Diplomats ranks third in the conference in rushing defense and match the Red Devils at third in turnover margin with each team coming in at plus-4 on the year.

Scouting the Red Devils
Senior QB Billy Burger is also among program leaders, ranking fourth in both passing yards (3,229) and total offense (4,141), setting up a nice mid-season showdown under center. Burger has also rushed for over 900 yards in his career and has thrown a pair of touchdowns in three games since returning to the backfield.

Sophomore RB Phillip Butler has found pay-dirt in the past three games and ranks fourth in the CC in rushing while junir Jeremy Walsh is seventh.

James Turner continues to lead the conference, averaging 12 tackles per game while Brian Snow ranks among the leaders at 8.5 per outing. Johnny Knight has intercepted three passes in his rookie campaign while Matt Butz has picked-off a pair.

Burger also ranks second in the CC, averaging 38.5 yards per kick, dropping 11 inside the 20, with a CC-best 74-yarder this season.
