(Carlisle, Pa) – Dickinson senior Billy Burger (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) was named the Centennial Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time in the opening two weeks of the season.
Burger had another outstanding day, averaging 40.6 yards on seven punts, pinning Muhlenberg inside its own 20-yard line four times, dropping two inside the 10. Burger helped keep the Mules at bay in the third quarter with three punts of over 50 yards. He boomed the first kick of the second half 59 yards and followed up with back-to-back attempts of 54 and 53 yards, respectively.
Dickinson dropped its conference opener in Allentown but kept the Mules in check, holding the hosts to just 14 points in a 14-3 setback. The Red Devils return home this week to face Gettysburg College in the annual Little Brown Bucket game. Kick-off is set for 1:30 pm at Biddle Field.
