(Redland, Calif.) – The Dickinson baseball team had a tough outing at Redlands University on Wednesday, falling 23-2. The Bulldogs moved into the national rankings this week, coming in at 14th on the American Baseball Coaches Association poll and 25th on D3baseball.com.
The Bulldogs tallied five runs in the first and second innings and stretched the lead to 11-0 in the third.
Redlands countered with six in the bottom half of the inning, tacking on five in the sixth and another in the seventh for the final of 23-2.
Daniel Zamarin (Blue Bell, Pa./Germantown Academy) drove in the other run for the Red Devils in the seventh. First-year Brendan Pell (Delran, N.J./Penn Charter) and Reilly each tallied two hits on the day.
The Red Devils slip to 3-7 on the season. They are scheduled to play a double-header at Chapman University on Thursday.
