Nate Nester (Messiah College '14) joined the Dickinson sports medicine staff in the fall of 2018. He brings a wealth of experience in the field of athletic training to the Red Devils.
Nester graduated from Messiah in 2014 and earned his master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania. He comes to Dickinson College after a four-year stint at CPRS Physical Therapy. He worked in a variety of settings while employed by CPRS Physical Therapy including various youth clinics and tournaments, West Perry School District, and most recently, Messiah College.
Nester attributes his 2013 internship with Dickinson College Athletic Trainer Adam Richmond to be the foundation he has used to grow and succeed in the field of sports medicine.
Nester has served the athletic training profession at the state level for the past four years while serving on various committees for the Pennsylvania Athletic Training Society (PATS). He has served as the assistant Audio/Visual Chair, Honors and Awards Committee member, and Program Committee co-chair.
Nate Holds certifications from the NASM as a Performance Enhancement Specialist as well as the Functional Movement System and uses a movement based approach to rehab.
He is excited to join the sports medicine staff at Dickinson where his primary responsibilities will be football, women's Lacrosse, and men’s and women’s track & field.
He currently resides in Mechanicsburg with his wife, Whitney, and their dog, Roma.
