Women's XC Jumps to 16th in National Poll

(Carlisle, Pa.) The Dickinson women's cross country team moved up eight spots in the U.S. Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national poll, announced this week. The Red Devils turned in a dominant performance at the Little Three Championships, moving up to 16th in the rankings.

The Red Devils started the season with a strong outing at the Galen Piper Invitational at Shippensburg, winning that event before capturing a remarkable 24th consecutive Little Three title over Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg.

Dickinson moved into second in the Mideast Region, ranking just behind national front-runner Johns Hopkins.

Sophomore Sarah House (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) won the individual title at the Little Three, leading eight Red Devil runners in the top 10.

The Red Devils are off this weekend before returning to action on September 23rd at the Purple Valley Classic, hosted by Williams College.
