(Selinsgrove, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's volleyball team had a tough outing on Wednesday night, falling at Susquehanna University, 3-0. The River Hawks posted scores of (25-18, 25-16, 25-17) as both teams moved to 5-4 on the season.
First-year Jamie Singer (Livingston, N.J./Golda Och) led the Red Devils with three kills, four assists, four digs and a pair of aces on the night.
Classmate Kristin Allgaier (Reston, Va./South Lakes) handed out seven assists and had six digs while Tatiana Lopez (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Colegio Puertorriqueno de Ninas) tallied 10 digs. Alex Berezan (Surrey, B.C./Earl Marriott Secondary) chipped in with five assists and an ace.
The Red Devils played even in the opening set, trailing 18-17, before five straight kills from Morgan Lowe led Susquehanna to an early lead.
The second set was similar with Dickinson pulling even, 11-11. The River Hawks went on a 9-2 run on the way to taking a 2-0 advantage. The hosts used a strong start in the third to close out the match.
Lowe led the River Hawks with 13 kills and six digs on the night.
The Red Devils open Centennial Conference play this weekend, traveling to Swarthmore College for a 1:00 pm start.
