Team Effort Turns Back Terror 3-0 on Wednesday Night

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's volleyball team turned in a strong team performance on Wednesday night, turning back visiting McDaniel College, 3-0. The Devils opened the match with a 25-17 decision in the first set. They went on to post scores of 25-13 and 25-15 to secure the win.

 

Senior Liz Norris (Southbury, Conn./Hotchkiss School) led the attack with 12 kills and three aces while classmate Kaylee Britain (Wayzata, Minn./Blake) added eight kills with a hitting percentage of .455.

 

Sophomore Samantha Iazzetta (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) tallied seven kills and recorded six digs on the night. Avery Zuvic (Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) added five kills and three aces.

 

MacKenzie Masten (Atherton, Calif./Notre Dame) served up a match-high four aces, adding 11 assists. Grace Morgan (York, Pa./York Suburban) dished out 19 assists on the night as well.

 

The Red Devils improve to 3-12 on the season and 1-2 in the Centennial Conference. They have a big week coming up, hosting Johns Hopkins on Tuesday, traveling to Gettysburg on Thursday and then facing Washington College on Friday night. All matches are set for 7:00 pm.
