Devil Volleyball Splits Pair on Saturday

(Scranton, Pa.) - The Dickinson College volleyball team split a pair of matches at the University of Scranton on Saturday afternoon. The Red Devils dropped a 3-0 decision to Scranton in their first match and posted a 3-0 win over Misericordia.

 

First-year Emily Kisak (Columbia, Md./Howard) recorded eight kills in the opener while Liz Norris (Southbury, Conn./Hotchkiss) added four kills and had five blocks.

 

Grace Morgan (York, Pa./York Suburban) recorded a match-high 20 assists and added eight digs. Joanna De Castro (Far Hills, N.J./West Morris Mendham) chipped in with a match-high 13 digs.

 

In the win over Misericordia Norris led the way with a match-high 16 kills. Jessie Shaffner (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) tallied nine kills, two aces and 11 digs.

 

Morgan dished out 41 assists to go with 13 digs in the nightcap. Avery Zuvic (Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) tallied 17 digs while De Castro added nine.

 

The Red Devils stand at 1-9 overall. They return home to face Hood College on Thursday night at 7:00 pm.
