Devils Sweep Bears in Conference Volleyball Opener
| (Carlisle, Pa.)- The Dickinson College women's volleyball team swept a Centennial Conference match from visiting Ursinus, 3-0, on Saturday. The Devils rattled off scores of 25-21, 25-19 and 25-23 to improve to 4-9 overall and 1-0 in the CC. | |
Senior Ely Gosheva (Sofia, Bulgaria/American U. of Sofia) led the Devils with 11 kills and nine digs. Lauren Yura (Morgantown, W.V./Morgantown) and Avery Zuvic (Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) each tallied seven kills and nine digs.
Senior setter Chelsea Winkert (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia)dished out 27 assists and added seven digs and three kills.
Mary Kate Wilmoth led Ursinus (4-9, 0-2) with 11 kills while Elizabeth Roth tallied 22 assists.
The Red Devils travel to Johns Hopkins for a 7:00 match on Tuesday night.
