(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's indoor track & field team had three runners named to the All-Centennial Conference Team, announced on Tuesday.
Senior Sofia Canning (Portland, Maine/Waynflete) and sophomore Natalie Suess (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) earned First-team honors while senior Kelsey Horowitz (Stow, Mass./Nashoba Regional) received honorable mention.
Canning ran to gold in the 5000 meters, clocking a time of 17:27.41. She earned her first bid to the NCAA Indoor National Championships this weekend, breaking the school record with a time of 17:09.74 in the NYU Invite at the New York Armory in February.
Horowitz crossed the line third in the 5000 meters, clocking a time of 17:52.70 to capture bronze and honorable mention honors.
Suess earned First-team honors, claiming her second straight conference title in the 400 meters, posting a time of 1:00.57. The following weekend, she clocked her first sub-60 time at Roanoke, coming across the line in 59.71.
Canning was also named to the 2018 All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team. She departs for Birmingham, Alabama for nationals on Thursday afternoon and is scheduled to compete in the 5000 meters at (6:05 pm EST, 5:05 pm CST).
