Mackintosh Sets School Triple Jump Record at CC Championships

(Swarthmore, Pa.) - The Dickinson College women's track & field team placed sixth at the 2010 Centennial Conference Championships. Johns Hopkins won the team title with 190 points to edge second place Haverford (185).

 

Sophomore Ellie Mackintosh (Dallas, Texas/Highland Park)added another school record on Sunday, clearing a distance of 10.73 (35'-2.5")meters in the triple jump, placing third in the event. Mackintosh tallied 20 points in field events, matching a meet-high performance.

 

First-year Vivian Butali (Silver Springs, Md./National Cathedral)was fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 10.36m.

 

 

Catherine Campbell (Carlisle, Pa./Trinity) ran to second in the 5000 meters, clocking a time of 18:01.79. Mary Hamilton (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) placed sixth with a time of 18:13.67.

 

Sophomore Rebecca Robbins (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon)crossed the line sixth in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:46.55.

 

The Red Devils will return to Swarthmore for the Last Chance Meet on Monday, May 10th.
