Knox Named Centennial Women's Tennis Coach of the Year
Complete All-Conference Release
(Lancaster, Pa.) - Dickinson College's Andy Knox was named the 2012 Centennial Conference women's tennis Coach of the Year, announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Knox led the Red Devils to an overall record of 15-4, tying the school single-season record for wins. The Red Devils won six straight matches and went 9-1 to close out the regular season, earning the #2-seed in the conference playoffs.
That marked the Devils' best finish in the conference standings as junior Alysia Rodgers (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) earned First-team honors in singles and joined doubles partner, Shannon Lavery (Huntington, W. Va./Huntington), to earn honorable mention. Rodgers posted a 13-4 record in singles while the duo finished 12-5 in doubles.
Knox earns the second Coach of the Year honor for the Red Devil women's tennis program, following Steve Riccio, who earned the award in 2010.
