(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College men's and women's tennis teams both posted wins over visiting McDaniel College on Tuesday afternoon. The women posted a 9-0 win while the men suffered just one setback in the second singles flight for an 8-1 victory.


Alysia Rodgers (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) and Shannon Lavery (Huntington, W. Va./Huntington) earned an 8-2 win in the top doubles flight. They captured the first and second singles flights in straight sets, respectively.


Brittany Zoll (Malvern, Pa./Shipley) and Leigh Oczkowski (Binghamton, N.Y./Seton Catholic) each surrendered just one point to win the third and fourth singles flights. They teamed up for an 8-1 win in the second doubles flight.


First-year Ilana Unger (Boulder, Colo./Alexander Dawson) won the fifth singles flight, (6-0, 6-0), and joined classmate Sarah Cantor (Providence, R.I.) for an 8-2 win in third doubles. Dominique Hedderich (Walton, Neb.) was a 6-1, 6-0 winner in singles to complete the sweep for the Devil women.


The Red Devils improve to 8-2 overall and 2-2 in the Centennial Conference. They host Elizabethtown on Thursday and Bryn Mawr College on Saturday afternoon.


The Red Devil men improved to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the Centennial Conference. Will Golinkin (Houston, Texas/Kincaid) and Franco Mena (Azcunaga Quito, Ecuador/Colegio Americano de Quito) won the top doubles flight, 8-0, winning the first and third singles flights in straight sets.


Ari Blask (Chevy Chase, Md./Charles E. Smith) earned two points with a win in the fourth singles flight and with Dixon Blue (Westminster, Md./McDonogh) at second doubles.


Jon Brittin (McLean, Va.) and David London (Chevy Chase, Md./Maret School) posted an 8-0 doubles win while London added an 8-0 decision in singles. Brittin won the fifth flight, 6-1, 6-0.


The Red Devils travel to Haverford College on Saturday for a 12:00 start.
