10th-Ranked Hopkins Tops Devil Tennis

(Baltimore, Md.) - The Dickinson College women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 setback at Johns Hopkins University on Wednesday. The Blue Jays, ranked 10th-nationally and fourth in the Atlantic South Region, improved to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the Centennial Conference.


Junior Alysia Rodgers (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) earned the point for the Devils, capturing the top singles flight, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-5).


The Devils drop just their second match of the season, falling to 6-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference. They travel to Ursinus College on Saturday for a 1:00 pm match with the Bears.
