Women's Tennis Opens Spring Season with 9-0 Win


(Hilton Head, S.C.) - The Dickinson College women's tennis started its spring break tour with a 9-0 win over Western New England College on Saturday. Juniors Joelle Nitzberg (W. Windsor, N.J./W. Windsor-Plainsboro S.) and Sarah Woodward (Scarsdale, N.Y./Eastchester) captured the top doubles flight, 8-2.

Nitzberg added a straight set win in the first singles flight (6-2, 6-0) while Woodward claimed the third flight 6-0, 6-3.

First-year Alysia Rodgers (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson)earned points in the second flight of both singles and doubles.

The Red Devils will face Georgetown College on Sunday at 12:00 pm.
