Red Devil Women Swim Past Washington 140-65

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team had a great outing on Saturday, posting a 140-65 win over Washington College.

Senior Katie Schmidt (Plymouth, Minn./Breck School) was a triple-winner on the day. She won the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:09.52, led-off the winning 400-medley relay and anchored the winning 400-free relay.

Classmate Olivia Lyman (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greeley) posted three wins as well, claiming the 500 and 1000-yard freestyle events with times of 5:19.04 and 10:50.50, and double-back to win the 200-free as well with a mark of 1:59.09.

Junior Molly Sternick (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) captured three wins, joining the medley relay and touching the wall first in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle, clocking marks of 25.13 and 55.87.

Senior Sammy Boswell (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) anchored the winning medley relay, placed second in the 200-backstroke and third in the 100-freestyle.

First-year Maddi Vlattas (Herndon, Va./Westfield) captured the win in the 200-individual medley with a time of 2:19.26 and added a win with the medley relay.

Sophomore Hannah Griffith (Lansdale, Pa./William Penn Charter) clocked a time of 2:35.46 to win the 200-breaststroke, adding a second-place finish in the medley relay.

Senior Shannon Bonner (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) led-off the winning free relay and finished fourth in the 200-freestyle. Madeline Callahan (Westtown, N.Y./Minisink Valley) placed second with both the medley and free relays and claimed silver in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:17.71.

First-year Sasha Arefyev (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shady Side) was second in the 200-freestyle and swam the second leg of the free relay.

The Red Devils improve to 8-2 overall and 3-1 in the Centennial Conference. They host Franklin & Marshall next Saturday at 1:00 pm.
