(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's swim team suffered a tough home loss to Ursinus, falling 135-127 on Saturday afternoon.


First-year Natalie LeBlanc (Westport, Conn./Staples) turned in a strong performance, winning the 200 individual medley (2:16.67) and placing second in 100 and 200 backstroke events with times of 1:03.85 and 2:16.71, respectively. She also swam the lead leg in the medley relay, placing second with a time of 1:57.39 as the teams competed in a 14-event program.


Senior Jessica Hassinger (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) won the 50 freestyle (25.13) and placed second as the anchor in the 200 medley and free relay events.


Junior Eva Kolstad (Cheshire, Conn./Hopkins School) win the 200 freestyle (2:04.02) and also swam with the free relay. Classmate Lynn Pucciarelli (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendahoah) won the 1000 freestyle (11:27.22) and placed second in the 500 (5:38.25).


Sophomore Jamie Bugel (McLean, Va./McLean) touched the wall second in the 200 breaststroke (2:37.64) and swam the second leg of the medley relay. Classmate Maky Sullivan (Hadley, Mass./Holyoke Catholic) won the 200 butterfly (2:26.78). First-year Rachel Williams (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) was second in the 100 butterfly (1:03.32) and joined the medley relay.


The Red Devils (5-2, 1-1) are home again on Tuesday night, hosting Messiah College at 7:00 pm. The meet was originally scheduled to be at Messiah, but will now be held at Dickinson.
