Devil Women Swim Past Owls and Eagles
(Bryn Mawr, Pa.) - The Dickinson College women's swim team posted a pair of wins on Saturday, topping host Bryn Mawr 149-53 and Juniata 154-30. The Red Devils improve to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the Centennial Conference.
First-year Carson Gannon (Morristown, N.J./Morristown Beard) was a triple-winner on the day. She captured the 500 and 1000 freestyle events with times of 5:24.28 and 11:12.91. She swam the lead leg of the winning 200 free relay (1:46.37) as well.
Junior Eva Kolstad (Cheshire, Conn./Hopkins School) posted two wins, capturing the 100 and 200 freestyle events with times of 57.13 and 2:03.66. First-year Natalie LeBlanc (Westport, Conn./Staples) added a pair of wins as well. LeBlanc touched the wall first in the 100 backstroke and swam the third leg of the free relay.
Senior Jessica Hassinger (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) swam the anchor legs of the medley and free relay events. The 200 medley relay posted a winning time of 1:58.70.
The Red Devils return home to host Ursinus College on Saturday, December 4th at 2:00 pm.
