Shorewomen Swim Past Devils 117-88
| (Chestertown, Md.) - The Dickinson College women's swim team slipped to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the Centennial Conference, suffering a 117-88 setback at Washington. | |
Junior Jessica Hassinger (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley)won the 50 freestyle (25.04) and led-off the 400 free relay to a first place time of 3:51.43.
First-year Maky Sullivan (South Hadley, Mass./Holyoke Catholic) won the 1000 freestyle (11:37.20) and claimed second in the 200 butterfly (2:22.07).
Ana Jakobcin (Falls Church, Va./Paul VI) finished second in the 1000 (11:37.30) and third in the 500 (5:42.81). Sarah Boyd (Cheswick, Pa./Fox Chapel) joined the free relay and placed second in the 500 (5:36.06).
Kasia Szulborski (Shavertown, Pa./Dallas) and Eva Kolstad (Cheshire, Conn./Hopkins School) swam the other legs of the free relay and first-year Jamie Bugel (McLean, Va./McLean)touched second in the 200 breaststroke (2:37.65).
The Red Devils travel to Franklin & Marshall next Saturday to face the Diplomats at 1:00 pm.
