Devil Women Return to Competition With CC Win

(Carlisle, Pa.) - The Dickinson College women's swim team returned to competition on Saturday, posting a 124-54 win over visiting McDaniel College.

 

Junior Jessica Hassinger (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley)swam the anchor leg of the winning 200 medley relay (2:00.97) and captured the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.58.

 

Senior Ali Imhoff (Frederick, Md./Frederick) touched the wall first in the 100 butterfly and joined the 200 free relay for a top exhibition time of 1:47.50.

 

First-year Maky Sullivan (South Hadley, Mass./Holyoke Catholic) won the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:05.22 and swam the third leg of the medley relay.

 

Senior Ana Jakabcin (Falls Church, Va./Paul VI) claimed first in the 500 freestyle, posting a time of 5:47.96. Sophomore Kasia Szulborski (Shavertown, Pa./Dallas) and first-year Anna Alburger (Wynnewood, Pa./Agnes Irwin School) won individual events in the 100 and 200 freestyle, respectively. Szulborksi clocked a time 58.14 while Alburger touched the wall in 2:08.58.

 

First-year Betsy Mullally (Nottingham, Md./Roland Park) led-off the medley relay while Rachel Wolfe (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) also earned the win, swimming the second leg.

 

The Red Devil women improve to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Washington College next Saturday for a 1:00 start.
